Online sales volumes

Online sales volumes have increased 25.5% year-on-year. Increasing wholesale prices in May and June saw an increase in online sales, which was driven by customer movements to AGL from Tier 2 and 3 retailers. Despite a challenging period impacted by COVID-19 shutdowns and a multi-channel approach to energy product incentives, online energy sales volume contribution increased, moving from 18.6% to 22.8% of total AGL sales in FY22.

  • Metric includes Website and Webchat volume, for residential and small business energy customers. Online sales volumes include new acquisitions as well as retentions (inclusive of movers and product swaps).

  • Data relates to energy services only, and is inclusive of Click Energy.
