Employee Giving and event fundraising

The total contribution to the community arising from our payroll giving and fundraising programs (including AGL matching and employee donations) increased by 12% as a result of coordinated and internally promoted fundraising events supporting nationally televised events such as the NSW and Queensland flood appeals as well as a number of coordinated local fundraising drives at AGL Macquarie, AGL Loy Yang and Torrens Island Power Station.

Notes

  • Payroll giving and fundraising data comprises employee donations as well as AGL matching, $285,406 and $92,905 respectively.

  • For payroll giving, AGL matched employee donations up to a total of $200,000 per year until April 2018. From April 2018 the amount AGL matched changed to $5,000 per year per employee for direct payroll giving.

  • Fundraising data includes employee donations as well as AGL matching. AGL matched fundraising donations up to $5,000 per event until April 2018. From April 2018, AGL matched up to $1,000 per fundraising page on the Power to Give program, which promotes AGL employees' own fundraising pages.

  • Matched amounts are included in the financial year in which the employee donations were made (though the matched payment may have been made after the close of the financial year).

  • FY22 data includes Click Energy, Epho, Solgen, Southern Phone Company and Perth Energy employees.
